Terry Howard is Client-Pharma’s Quality Manager, and his wide experience and management skills help to maintain our network of clients and supply partners all over the world. We took a moment to find out a little more about Terry and get an insight into his role with Client-Pharma.
What is your main day-to-day role?
I feel really lucky that every day is diverse, and that I am playing my part in reaching the wider business objectives of Client-Pharma becoming the world leader in commercial drug (comparator) sourcing and supply. As the Quality Manager, my main responsibility is to ensure that Client-Pharma is constantly compliant with the latest global regulatory requirements.
I get a kick out of analysing business processes and documentation and have recently completed the key project to re-design the Quality Management System (QMS) which has enhanced our quality procedures and I am fortunate to travel with my role to conduct supplier / client audits all over the world.
I love getting involved and being an integral part of the business, which ultimately help us to focus on consistently meeting additional business requirements, for example; last year, I worked alongside the CEO, to ensure Client-Pharma achieved a State Board of Pharmacy Wholesale License that has further strengthened our offer and capabilities within the US.
I am proud to be Quality Manager at Client-Pharma and I look forward to seeing what the future holds as we achieve greater businesses successes.
What makes Client-Pharma different?
Gary and Jonathan’s enthusiasm is infectious, and they have a clear vision on how they want the business to develop. From the moment I walked into Client-Pharma for my interview, I instantly knew that I wanted to be part of the ambitious growth plans of Client-Pharma.
The core company values are not just words that are displayed on our office walls, they are apparent throughout the businesses, and I enjoy working as part of a dedicated and motivated team.
What type of solutions do you provide within your work?
Although my role isn’t customer facing, everything I do on a daily basis centers around the client, nothing is more important to us than providing outstanding service. I generally work behind the scenes developing processes and solutions to ensure that we get products to our clients on time and under the right specifications within the territorial regulatory guidelines.
My role is to satisfy, and exceed, the complex regulations that our clients and partners expect, and to do this we often go over and above the standard requirements – this is what makes Client-Pharma stand out and why we are becoming the industry leader for global clinical trial supplies.
How does your role help to achieve the objectives of Client-Pharma?
I am part of a tight-knit team that has a collective passion for ‘making a difference’ to the clinical trial supply chain. Being part of a strong team means that we work effectively together, and ultimately our customers benefit from our shared goals.
At an operational level I’ve created greater awareness of GDP within the business and helped to evolve the quality culture that was already in place.
Anything else you would like to add, especially during these challenging times.
We all have a close personal connection through our work at Client-Pharma and each day we get stronger together, especially during this current global pandemic. We are all temporarily, but effectively, working from home due to the COVID-19 lock-down, but we are in constant contact with each other via video conferencing and online chat to maintain business as usual. I miss seeing everyone on a daily basis, but it hasn’t stopped us exchanging ideas or the ‘banter’!
We recently had a quiz night via MS Teams; it was a great laugh and further strengthens our ethics when we can’t physically work together – unfortunately I didn’t win.
