Kalea Belso is Client-Pharma’s Commercial Finance Manager, she is a great team member and always arrives with a smile on her face – even in our video team catch up’s. We took a moment to find out a little more about Kalea and get an insight into her role with Client-Pharma.
What is your main day-to-day role?
My role is extremely varied, but my main responsibility is to oversee the Client-Pharma finance department working closely with the CEO and other senior management helping out with various assignments and projects.
What makes Client-Pharma different?
Many things make Client-Pharma stand out from other organisations where I have previously worked, and I love working with a team of strong and motivated people. The main thing for me is that Gary Campbell, CEO, and Jonathan Kilham, Managing Director, are extremely passionate about ensuring that we provide excellent client service, ultimately benefitting patients all over the world. They also have a real respect for their team at all levels, and this is really motivating.
Client-Pharma is a strong example of how being considerate towards people, both internal and external, makes a real difference. The senior management team maintain great relationships with staff and keep everyone informed with wider strategic business objectives, this gives us all encouragement and means we feel part of the exciting future of the business.
The company is totally focused on the client and has strict procedures and policies in place to ensure patient safety and wellbeing at every step of the way. They have a real passion for the world around them.
What do you bring to the team?
However, I hope I am more than an accountant when it comes to team working. Although I don’t join in the tea round, I don’t really like tea, but to make up for this I always bring in biscuits! I am lucky to work with the team at Client-Pharma and I always look forward to coming into work – although we can’t work in the same office right now, the team still has a strong connection.
Anything else you would like to add, especially during these challenging times.
Client-Pharma has been tremendously supportive throughout these unprecedented times, both internally and externally. We each have different challenges to face during the lock down, but I know that the whole team is behind continuing to work effectively, efficiently and professionally throughout – with each other’s unwavering support.
It was really strange for the team to initially be apart following the enforced lock down as we have a strong bond, but we have now settled into working from home, and we still get full support. Jonathan, the MD has contacted us all every day, to ensure we are all are happy and coping okay at home.
Since the outbreak of Covid-19 Gary, the CEO, has led a project to provide hot meals for the elderly, isolated and vulnerable in the local community. Gary has delivered to over 60 people, every night for five weeks so far to everyone that needs them – he is inspirational to the team and always leading from the front.
I couldn’t be prouder of working at Client-Pharma.
