Over the last few challenging days it has been refreshing to see people pulling together to help those who need support during these unprecedented times. This is why Client-Pharma has joined together with a local restaurant to offer local community support.
Client-Pharma’s staff has pledged assistance to The Three Horseshoes in Barton-under-Needwood, to deliver a free hot meal service to local residents who are practicing social distancing and may be severely affected by the current COVID-19 outbreak.
Gary Campbell, CEO, explained why Client-Pharma is getting involved, “As of the 21st of March our team will be delivering hot meals to people who find themselves in social isolation. We want to help as much as we can, and to date, have identified more than fifty people in the local area. Hot meals will be prepared by The Three Horseshoes’ chefs and Client-Pharma will make the deliveries. We will source as many items as we can from local suppliers and this will all be done free-of-charge to residents, with Client-Pharma covering all costs.”
We are aware that this is a fast-changing situation, but we want to be able to support the community while we are able to do so. This is just one of a few local initiatives that have been setup all over the country to help make a big difference by #coronaheroes; so thank you to everyone who is able to make small contributions to help in a significant way.
It’s at times like these when I realise how resilient we are as a nation, and I am very proud and fortunate to be in a position where we can offer our support to the local community. Exclusion of any type is never a good thing, but this is also the time when we can pull together.
I would also like to appeal to everyone to take care of your family, friends and neighbours if you can – sometimes just a simple phone call can make people feel less secluded.”
